Goal 12 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda promotes the implementation of a sustainable consumption and production model, adopting an environmentally friendly approach to chemicals and waste products. This is to be achieved through sustainable business management and the reduction in volume of waste. Adopting sustainable practices, following strict procedures and trying to be as transparent as possible in the reporting of activities, with the publication of an annual sustainability report.
The #BeGreen project heads in this direction, and provides for the use of recycled paper in the production of all POP materials - In-Store Communication tools for the IBSA FilmTec® supplements line. This choice reflects a sustainable approach, eliminating the need to cut down trees for the production of these materials and favouring the environmentally sustainable recycling of valuable raw materials. A practical gesture, part of an all-round sustainability approach that began in 2015, and which continues today with an unwavering commitment to maximise the positive effects on the well-being of the community.
This project is an important step, showing how medical and scientific progress can harmoniously merge with a commitment to a cleaner planet for future generations. A practical move towards achieving Goal 12 'Responsible Consumption and Production'.
#BeGreen is just one of the many initiatives introduced by IBSA Italy to protect the environment, promoting human well-being and contributing to global development, in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established in 2015 by the United Nations.
Objective 12 is just one of the 8 Goals chosen by IBSA to guide a path of change and evolution towards becoming an environmentally and socially sustainable company, including in terms of governance.
