Mothers, life partners, confidants, a reference for the most vulnerable people, as well as tireless workers. Many nuances, all in a single word: Women.
For IBSA, women represent precious resources, who have made an enormous contribution in overcoming the challenges encountered over the last two years. Women are a pillar of our company, and IBSA wants to devote attention and care to them, focusing on their health.
On March 8, in fact, an important appointment with prevention is back: every IBSA female collaborator will indeed be able to take advantage of a mammogram and a gynaecological examination with Pap test, two major tests that allow an early diagnosis of the most common female tumours: breast and cervical cancer.
However, the topic of prevention goes beyond corporate boundaries. IBSA is in fact committed to supporting several wide-ranging initiatives, such as Singolare come te, plurale come la solidarietà (“Singular like you, plural like solidarity”), created in collaboration with Fondazione Francesca Rava NPH Onlus.
The project offers support to migrant women seeking asylum within the organisations linked to the Foundation, with the aim of making them aware of the importance of the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, of female cancers and the knowledge of theirs own body, as well as of the bureaucratic procedures to follow to access health services in our country.
Through meetings with female gynaecologists, obstetricians, nurses and volunteers, IBSA and Fondazione Rava contribute to creating awareness on priority issues for women’s health, thus making their own contribution to achieving goal 3 of the UN 2030 Agenda: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
