The pandemic crisis generated situations of economic and social discomfort that aggravated the conditions of people who were already living in precarious conditions. In Italy, today, there are almost 2 million families living in a situation of economic hardship and, among these, the “new poor” are above all women and families with minors. Today, in fact, over 1,340,000 children live in conditions of poverty, not even being able to have the essential goods to lead an acceptable life.
In view of this situation, IBSA Farmaceutici renews its commitment in favour of the most fragile categories and – in line with the Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations in the 2030 Agenda – takes action making its own contribution to the Fondazione Francesca Rava NPH Italia Onlus, a non-profit organization that since 2000 has been helping children, women and families in the area of healthcare and education.
Announced today at a press conference held at the Municipality of Milan, in the presence of Federfarma, the Rava Foundation and Martina Colombari (godmother of the operation), In Farmacia per i Bambini (“In the Pharmacy for Children”) is an initiative dedicated to raising awareness of the rights of children and to the collection of over-the-counter drugs, baby food and paediatric products for minors in healthcare poverty.
